Ingredients
1 box chocolate cake mix
4 containers vanilla frosting
Green food coloring
2 boxes Bowl & Basket sugar cones
Powdered sugar, for decorating
Sprinkles, for decorating
vegetable oil ( for chocolate cake mix, follow box instructions)
eggs,( for chocolate cake mix, follow box instructions)
Directions

1. Prepare chocolate cupcakes according to package directions. Let cool completely.

 

2. While cupcakes are cooling, whisk contents on two containers of vanilla frosting with green food dye. Set aside.

 

3. Once cupcakes are cool, frost each with an even, flat layer of vanilla frosting. Place one sugar cone, upside down, into each frosted cupcake, pushing gently to secure.

 

4. Put green-colored vanilla frosting into a piping bag with a star tip and, starting from the bottom of the cones, pipe small stars all around the sugar cones to make the tree leaves. Continue upwards until the cone is completely hidden. Repeat with all cupcakes.

 

5. Decorate with sprinkles, if desired, then dust with powdered sugar for a snowy effect!
